J. Janell Cerva, PhD

J. Janell Cerva is the Chief Impact & Strategy Officer for Utah Community Action. Janell oversees the Data & Policy Team, and manages Resource Development, Communications, and Marketing across the agency. She also leads strategic initiatives based on how the agency can leverage assets and strengthen partnerships to better meet the needs of the community, especially families and children experiencing poverty. These currently include affordable housing development and the expansion of high-quality early childhood programs. Prior to joining Utah Community Action, Janell directed cross-sector collaboration addressing homelessness and housing in Salt Lake County on behalf of Mayor Ben McAdams, and lead early childhood regional and community-based partnerships for United Way of Salt Lake. Janell graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English and Political Science from Brigham Young University, a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Utah, and is currently completing her PhD in Educational Leadership & Policy at the University of Utah.

David Blain

David Blain joined the LHM Group in 2011. Throughout his career, he has served advertising clients ranging from theme parks to technology to travel and tourism to automotive and entertainment. David co-founded Blain Olsen White Gurr Advertising—an ad agency that would be recognized by the INC 500 as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies. David was recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist In 2007 and was the 2016 recipient of the American Advertising Federation Silver Medal. David is a graduate of the University of Utah with a degree in mass communication. He serves on the board of the Canyons Education Foundation for the Canyons School District, and in his free time, David enjoys relaxing and reading. His interests include travel, golf, and scuba diving.

Tiffany Erickson
Communications, Managing Director

Tiffany Erickson leads the media relations and external communications teams for Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power and has been at the company since 2017. She is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategic communication plans around company initiatives and managing media relations and company positioning. Prior to that, Erickson directed communications for the Salt Lake County Mayor’s Office under former Congressman Ben McAdams, managed outreach at Utah Valley University and served as a strategic planner at McCann Erickson. She entered the communications and media relations field after a decade as a print journalist, covering state legislative issues and public education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Utah State University and a master’s degree in public administration from Brigham Young University.

Utah Women in Production and Photography was founded by women for women. Their mission is to advocate for women in their respective industries. Women provide unique perspectives, skills and insight, making impactful decisions on set. BW Productions is proud to represent a dedicated group that advocates for and collaborates with women.
